Making dolls is one of the most underestimated challenges in propping, especially on a TV show where time is short and the Legal Department is at their most cautious as toy manufacturing is a very litigious industry.
Working from a rough-but-approved sketch from Costumes, we needed both a vintage action figure and modern "re-issue" of the same character, Prince Charmington. We borrowed from existing figures but created the heads, clothing and some body parts, from scratch.
Again, thanks to Dan Garr at Hot Buttered Elves for the design and manufacturing... and the Tailor Shop at 20th Century Fox Costume Dept. for all of Prince Charmington's clothing.
